I cater to people looking for guitar and bass re-stringing services, setups, intonation and adjustments, fret levelling/crowning, fret polishing or replacement, re-wires, pickups and volume/tone pot cleaning or replacements and small to moderate instrument repairs and modifications (inspection pending - I will not attempt or undertake any repairs that I am not confident I can fix!).
I can order and install new pickups to give your old instrument a new lease on life and level, re-crown and polish those old frets! Installation of pickups requiring body routing and timber work can also be completed in the workshop e.g. single coil bridge on a Strat routed to fit a humbucker etc. I don't get special deals on pickups, so feel free to supply your chosen pickups and I will be happy to install them - your purchase price will be the same as mine! I am always happy to discuss your requirements prior to you booking a service or a repair appointment. I also deal with schools in need of guitar, bass and ukulele repairs or re-stringing, so don't let your music department's guitars and basses fall into disrepair and book an appointment to get them fixed today; without breaking your budget!
I am a stockist of Ernie Ball and D'Addario strings and generally stock most common gauges of strings; however, I can always order in other specific string sets depending on your requirements. I also stock a small range of D'Addario and Ernie Ball, accessories i.e. straps, strap locks, capos, tuners, polish, cleaning cloths, picks and string winders and Guitar Nomad polish and cleaning products.

All setup pricing includes:
- New standard range of Ernie Ball or D'Addario strings (your preferred gauge) or upgrade to Elixir/D'Addario NYXL/Ernie Ball Paradigm or Coated Strings at an additional cost - see above.
- Fret clean and polish
- Fretboard clean & oil/conditioning
- Truss rod adjustment
- Intonation
- Saddle height adjustment
- Machine head check
- Hardware and electronics check over
- Fret work such as; fret levelling, crowning and polishing is an extra flat rate of $80.00 on top of the basic set up price, please discuss this with me when booking your appointment if you think your instrument needs this work completed. Often a setup cannot be completed successfully with worn or uneven (low/high) frets.
- Any additional work that needs to be completed such as; replacement frets, replacement bone nut, replacement volume and tone pots, switch replacement, complete re-wires, machine heads, modifications, replacement electronic parts or hardware or physical instrument repairs will be charged at a very reasonable hourly rate of $45/hr PLUS the cost of any parts. Please discuss any possible repairs when organising a service or repair booking by including some basic details in the comment section of the contact form.
